Predominantly we charge on the basis of time devoted to your case. Our base charge out rate is $600.00 per hour + GST.

We prefer to fix fees where possible. This can be done in majority of cases once we have all necessary information.

We work on a “costs up front” policy and require payment to our trust account before undertaking work.

If you are privately funding your case and you do not leave it until the last minute, then yes, you can ask us to take over your case. The transfer of a person’s file from one lawyer to another is not uncommon.

Once fees owing to the former lawyer are settled, it is a smooth transition of signing a document entitled “File Transfer Authority” and at the same time depositing funds for the new lawyer to take the case on.
